Membership is the biblical way for you to become a vital part of the local church. The New Testament points Christians today towards membership for encouragement, accountability, and protection. Commitment to membership better ables us to fulfill Jesus’ command to love one another as He has loved us.

Our membership classes offer a time of teaching and questions as we walk through what church membership is, why it’s important, and what it looks like at GCC. Attending a class is not a commitment to or a guarantee of church membership, but it is the first step towards becoming a church member and is a great opportunity to learn the doctrines we hold and the responsibilities of members.

Upcoming Membership Class

Our next membership class meets five Sundays in a row after the 11:00am service, beginning October 13. Each class session will last for about an hour. Lunch will be provided. What will the membership classes go over?

These classes will answer questions such as:

  • What are the core beliefs of GCC?

  • Why should I become a church member?

  • What does it mean to commit to the church?

  • As a church family, how should we deal with conflict when it arises?

This will also be a time for you to interact and ask questions that are on your mind!

When are the classes held?

Currently, our Membership Classes are held at the church, in Sundean Hall, for one hour after the 11am Sunday service. These classes also include online material to be completed at home.

Do I need to be at all five classes?

Yes, you must attend all the classes to be considered for membership. If you are unable to attend all five classes, please reach out to Mikey to make alternative arrangements. We offer makeup classes for those who are unable to attend all scheduled classes.

Is there food?

Yes - we will provide lunch!

Is there childcare?

Yes - we will provide childcare free of charge. When you sign up, please indicate that you need childcare.
