Disciples of All Nations
As Christians, we joyfully participate in evangelism and furthering the kingdom of God. Many of us are called to simply witness within the city we live in and to the people God brings into our lives, but God calls others far and wide to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations. While Gospel Community Church reaches the city of Santa Cruz, our heart longs to see lost people all over the world come to salvation. That is why we financially and prayerfully support several missionaries around the USA and around the world.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20
The Boettchers
Marseille, France
Phil & Heather have a heart for bringing the hope of Christ to France, a nation with very few evangelical churches. They are partnered with a local church that has a vision to plant new churches in order to reach people who have never heard the good news. Currently, they are working on planting a church in a neighboring town called Aubagne. They also have a heart for personal evangelism and are living this out by intentionally connecting with the neighbors God has placed around them.
The Dentons
Nipomo, CAlifornia, USA
Michael and Katie Denton, along with their seven kids, serve at First Baptist Nipomo, a recent church replant. Michael serves as the church’s Lead Pastor. Their vision is to show God’s love to every person in Nipomo, as they seek to reach California’s central coast with the Gospel of Jesus. Their church serves both the English and Spanish speakers in their community, showing that the Church is made up of every tribe, nation, and tongue.
Christian Challenge UCSC
UCSC, Santa Cruz, CAlifornia, USA
Christian Challenge UCSC is focused on doing campus outreach at UC Santa Cruz. Every year, they reach hundreds of students, inviting them to events, Bible studies, and their weekly fellowship with the goal of sharing the gospel with each student and plugging them in to the local church. The Challenge staff are passionate about investing in student leaders who in turn disciple other students, lead Bible studies, and regularly share the hope of the gospel with their peers.
Kyle Ishihara
UC Berkeley, CAlifornia, USA
Kyle, a former ministry resident at GCC, was sent to serve on staff at the UC Berkeley chapter of his own college fellowship, Soon Movement. Kyle wants to see the church built up through college ministry. His desire is for college students at UC Berkeley to trust in Jesus, grow in their love for him, and share the Gospel with other students on campus. He does this by witnessing on campus, discipling students, and helping facilitate weekly large group meetings where the students can worship and hear from God’s Word.
The Porters
Farmington, Utah, USA
Austin and Emily Porter attend King’s Cross Church, the first evangelical church in Farmington, Utah. They recognize that there is a huge spiritual burden in the state of Utah, as it is considered to be the third most religious yet least Christian state in the United States. Their heart is to see Utahns freed to love and serve the true Jesus and see more Gospel believing churches planted in the Salt Lake Valley. By God’s grace, they’re working to make this a reality, as Austin serves as the Minister of Care and Students at KCC and as they both regularly evangelize and disciple the people in their community.
The Wullbrandts
Daruvar, Croatia
Sam and Sarah Wullbrandt are serving at a local church in Daruvar, Croatia. Sam’s missionary work focuses on his role as a professor at the Theological Bible Academy, which seeks to develop church leaders and church planters in the nations of the former Republic of Yugoslavia, while also serving his church through regular preaching and discipleship. Sarah is involved in the children’s ministry, both in the church and with their own five children. They have a deep desire to see new churches planted in the regions of Croatia, where there is little to no gospel witness.
