What’s Sunday like?

Welcome to Gospel Community Church! As you plan your visit with us we want to provide as many details as we can to make you feel comfortable. If you have any questions about GCC, our Sunday service, or our beliefs, please feel free to give us a call or send us an email.

Logistics

When: 9:00am & 11:00am every Sunday

Where: At the Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 1024 Cayuga St, Santa Cruz, CA 95062. Join us in the Sanctuary.

Parking: There is plenty of parking in the the lot. Guest parking is located to the right immediately after entering the parking lot. Parking for handicapped, elderly, & families with young children can be found through the gate on the left around the building. Please note that the parking lot is one-way - enter the driveway closest to the building.

Entrance: Enter through the center gate adjacent to the street and sidewalk. You’ll enter a courtyard and the sanctuary is the building on your right. Anyone with a name tag can direct you!

Connect: We’d love to meet you! Stop by our Connections Table on Sunday to find out more about our church, as well as receive a welcome gift!

Communion: We participate in communion every Sunday at the end of the service. Trays of grape juice and bread are passed around at that time. Gluten free crackers are available in the center of the passed tray.

Offering: We collect an offering during announcements every week. If you’re joining us as a guest, please feel no obligation to give. Giving is a way our church family can participate in worship.

Refreshments: Coffee and donuts are served every week between services. Coffee is also available before the 9:00am service. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the building, so come early to enjoy some good coffee and good fellowship! The refreshment table is in the middle courtyard through the front gate entrance.

Service

Each week we sing to God to worship him and to remind each other of what God has done for us. We believe that worship should be rich with truth as well as beautiful musically and we have a talented worship team that leads us every Sunday in praising God.

Then we hear God’s word preached. God wants to instruct our minds and move our hearts through hearing from the Bible every week. We love getting deep in God’s truth! We also know that there are people who are exploring their faith every week and so we regularly address tough questions in our teaching. Also, we are always available for a conversation after service!

Toward the end of our service, we celebrate communion together, the tangible picture Jesus gave us to remember his death and resurrection. The focal point of our gathering is always the good news that Jesus has poured out his grace and love on his people.
